Blank mind; Blank page

It’s not very often that I can’t string words together, especially when it comes to writing. But this week, however, it’s been impossible. My mind has been completely, utterly and thoroughly blank.

It’s not that I didn’t try. Believe me, I really did try. I wrote a title for one post (something about training twice a day, doing kettlebell swings and trying to eat properly again — it was much better than that might suggest, promise) and even wrote the first two paragraphs of another (about Eskom and the importance of government using the word “crisis” — it had potential, but I couldn’t find the words). But that was as far as I got.

The words simply wouldn’t flow, and those that did flowed so badly I almost — almost — wished they hadn’t flowed in the first place.

So what did I go? Google, of course. I found some tips for fixing writer’s block. I’m going to use them this weekend and then try get back on track.

In the meantime, if you’d like to suggest a topic for me to write about, I’d really appreciate it. Perhaps you can get my creative juices flowing. Post in the comments section below.
