We’ve all lost someone – or at least know someone who has – to a car crash. It’s a phone call that no one wants to get; that their loved one had been involved in a crash. (Aside: you will notice that I refuse to call them “accidents”, because most of them are not.)
On November 18, please across the world remember those who have died in road crashes. It’s commonly called the World Day of Remembrance. Check it out at www.worlddayofremembrance.org.
Durban will be hosting an event on November 18, the details of which are going to be given TONIGHT at The Upstairs (above Spiga d’Oro), and you’re all invited. A presentation will also be given on World Day of Remembrance, and how you can get involved. (Additionally, it’s being billed as a “tweet up”, so you can meet some online people in real life. So that’s find of cool).
So pull through, come say hi, and come see how we can all get involved.
Oh, and if you’re planning on drinking, please arrange a driver or catch a cab. Let’s not be idiots. Thanks.
